Rod Felber |
Dr.
Rod Felber came to San Joaquin General Hospital in 1991 when the
AIDS epidemic was on the rise, and he wanted to do something about
it. He began the monumental task of forming the first-of-its-kind
HIV clinic in San Joaquin County. The clinic treats approximately
95% of the county's HIV patients. "My goal is to let people
know our door is always open and that they are not judged in any way
when they enter that door," said Dr. Felber. "I want the
clinic to be the best treatment facility possible with a reputation
that follows." In addition to overseeing the HIV clinic, Dr.
Felber also serves as associate director of the Internal Medicine
Residency Program. "I love working with residents and medical
students and hope that I can give them the kind of quality education
I received during my residency at San Joaquin General
Hospital." |
