The core patient care rotations for the PGY-1 residency program are:

 

-  Internal Medicine (2 months)

-  Critical Care (2 months)

-  Cardiology (1 month)

-  Infectious Disease (1 month)

-  Patient Care Electives (3 months)

 

The residents’ participation in the Ambulatory Clinics spans the duration of the year as a longitudinal learning experience and includes physician-run clinics, such as Cardiology and Infectious Disease clinic, as well as pharmacist-run clinics.

 

The pharmacist-run clinics include:

-  Anticoagulation

-  Asthma

-  Heart Failure

-  Diabetes

 

Patient Care Elective rotations include, but are not limited to, Emergency Medicine, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Pediatrics, Family Medicine, and Advanced Ambulatory Care, as well as additional months of any of the core rotations.
